«Off-road Signs» is a series of the landscape interventions. It is an ongoing project, currently consists 
of four episodes.

The signs are manufactured in the factory according to the standards of real road signs. I travel with them
to the secluded natural areas and install among the empty landscapes, to emphasise the emptiness around,
on the one hand, and on the other hand, to make the environment gain a new meaning.

The signs are installed for some short period of time and then removed without leaving a trace.

Sign with the inscription in Ukrainian language «Welcome to the Motherland» was for the first time installed in the field at the outskirts of my home city Kharkiv in April 2021 (on the left). After the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia to Ukraine, this field became a battlefield, and the sign was hung on the wall in the underground shelter where I was hiding from the heavy bombings together with my family, neighbours and pets. The sign remained there throughout the spring 2022 (on the right).

«Earth»

The sign installed in Kharkiv region, near the village where my grandparents live, in September 2022. Then I came back to my home region for the first time since June 2022 when I had evacuated to Austria.
